VIT University has registered 2,12,238 students for VITEEE that will be held as a computer-based test from April 6 to 17. Last year, 2,02,406 students had appeared for the entrance exam, VIT Chancellor G. Viswanathan told reporters on Friday.

Uttar Pradesh topped the chart with 32,947 (27,246 boys and 5,701 girls) registrations, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 27,427 candidates. Bihar came next with 18,463 registrations, while Maharashtra accounted for 15,584 registrations. While 14,476 candidates registered from Telangana, Tamil Nadu had 13,867 students, he added.
