Hello,

There is a difference between Joint entrance examination (JEE) mains and Joint entrance examination (JEE) advanced. First you need to write JEE mains and get enough percentile that is mentioned by the  official to qualify for JEE advanced. Through JEE mains you can get seats in NITs, IIITs and through JEE advanced you can get seat in IITs.

Hey,

No jee exams are conducted every year in India for admissions in Engineering colleges which includes IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs.

The admissions in NITs, GFTIs and IIITs are done on the basis of jee mains marks also but for admissions in IITs the candidate has to qualify JEE Advanced therefore JEE Advanced is also referred as IIT JEE sometimes to  differentiate.

I hope this helps.

All the best!
