Kindly go through the below tips -

1. The basic difference between the two courses is the study orientation and pattern. Both the courses are of PG level and basically M.Tech is a technical program whereas MS is related to Basic Sciences.

2. The duration of M.Tech is 2 years whereas M.S may go beyond 2 years.

3. Both have more coursework than project work, in MS coursework is minimal and large chunk of credits allotted to thesis comparatively.

4. M.Tech and MS lies in the alignment of the course and approach.

5. Lastly, both the courses more or less is the same so it depends on the student's interest and potential which one he/she opts for. So kindly consider both the factors before you make any decision.
