Yes, NIOS certificate is valid and recognised across India as well as abroad. So you can apply for JEE main without any problem. You must fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying and the eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. To get admission in NITs/IITs/GFTIs you need to secure atleast 75% marks in 10+2 in case if you belong to general category and 65% marks in case if you belong to SC/ST category. And you must have studied atleast 5 subjects and give examination through NIOS.

yes, you may definitely apply for jee main exam. nios that is national institute of open schooling is fall under the recognized board of india. thus you are certainly eligible to apply if you meet the basic eligibility criteria. there is no age limit for attempting the exam. for jee main 2020 you need to pass 10+2 course on 2018 or 2019 or appearing in 10+2 course .
