National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is the only test one need to clear for admission in medical colleges. Supreme Court has quashed all other exams.
So you need to give only one exam and now there are no exceptions to this.
After exam gets over, you have tofill separate forms for all India Counselling, state counselling, AIIMS , AFMC, JIPMER etc.

Before 2017 every state and some eminent medical institutes like AIIMS and JIPMER conducted their own medical entrances for MBBS/BDS admission . But from 2017 NEET was properly started by CBSE through which every state had to conduct admission of MBBS/BDS , though AIIMS and JIPMER conducted their own exam at that time . Now from 2020 even AIIMS and JIPMER is also scrapped and NEET has become the only exam for MBBS/BDS admission all over the India . After qualifying and getting good rank in NEET you don't have to appear any other entrances for MBBS/BDS admission , just you have to appear in all India quota and state quota counseling using your NEET rank . No, no entrance examination is conducted other than neet examination , neet is the single and the only gateway to all the medical colleges of India be it a government medical college or a private medical college .
But in some cases you need to qualify some other examinations as well in addition to neet.
For example, if you want to get into Afmc then first of all you need to clear its cut off for neet examination and then you need to go through few additional tests like test of English Language Comprehension, Logic & Reasoning i.e ToELR test and psychological assessment test i.e PAT and an interview by the Board of Officers.
