Yes, there are state level entrance exam for admission to polytechnic. Here are few

1. TS POLYCET is conducted for admission to polytechnic colleges in Telangana state.

2. AP POLYCET is conducted for admission to polytechnic colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

3. JEECUP is conducted for admission to various private and government polytechnic institutes in Uttar Pradesh.

Some of the state does not conduct entrance exam and the admission is based on Merit. It depends on in which you state you are seeking admission.
