Hello student. Can you mention which university entrance exam so that it would be more clear.

Usually, for some universities, seats will be given based on the mark you get in entrance exam. Those are called merit based seats. Even you get the rank in top 10, you would get the seat as the one who got the rank below 100 if rank cut off is 200. But scholarship would be given in the later days.

If the rank is above cut off, still tou wish the seat, then you are supposed to pay donation

But in some universities, based on 12th mark or entrance rank, fees would be reduced
