Hi, The fact is you want to drop a year for JEE Main Preparation and if you are clear with your motive it shall not bother you much.
You should be able to explain the reasons for your drop and it really won't matter if it sense genuine to the panelist.
There are many who take 2 years drop for preparation so in other words be confident and honest about the same.
