Hi there,

Artifical magnets are made in different shapes such as horseshoe shape, bar shape, cylindrical shapes.

Bar shape: It is a rectangular piece of magnet. It is in form of bar as suggested by name with poles at its end.

Cylindrical shape: It has thickness equal or larger than its diameter. That's why it produces very high magnetism with low area.

Horseshoe shape: It is in shape of U. It is most recognized form of magnet in world.

Hope it helps you

Good luck!
