You may change your Aircel number to any other service providers like Airtel Voda etc.. simply using MNP by calling Aircel customer care

You must have listed an email too right? You'll get the necessary updates there.
Also you should port your number like mentioned in the other answer

Why don't you port your aircel number to any other Telecom network. 

When you port your number to other network your number doesnt change. So portability is the best option. Thus you will get updates to your number without any trouble
