Hello,
As your class 12 boards results will be declared in the month of July and the JEE mains will also be conducted in the month of July, so JEE advanced will be held only after the month of July itself. Till the. You will be having your boards results and Jee mains score. So you have to appear for your first attempt for JEE advanced I the year of 2020 itself. You will be eligible for JEE advanced in the next year that is 2021. For JEE mains, you will be eligible in the years 2021 and 2022.
Also to be eligible for JEE advanced, you need to score minimum 75% in boards for general category students and 65% for reservation category.
Please note that you get three consecutive years for JEE mains and two consecutive years for JEE advanced.
Hope it helps

Don't know where is this Rule/Guideline written but the situation that all students are facing regarding their exams the changes will definitely be there as you hardly face such situations in life.

But as per what I  know You have to clear your mains for which you need An Aggregate of 75% in Boards to appear for Main and Advanced. Plus specially  required rank in JEE main To be eligible to appear for Advanced. So fulfil these basic requirements.

Hello ,

No not at all , you are only eligible JEE Advance for 2020 and 2021 only if you qualified JEE Mains of respective year or qualified board exam with more than 75% or lie in top 20 percentile of your board .

JEE Advance is to be held in August 2020 and your result is being declared in July so you will be eligible for JEE Advance this year if meet eligibility criteria and next year only not in 2022 .

And the rule you state works under normal circumstances when JEE Advance usually held in May not in special circumstances like what is happening now .
