see from last years, gate exam has options for students to appear in two papers as per their choice. however you need to pay for both of the paper if you have taken two papers. For the applicants  who select the TWO GATE papers, the subject combination must be from the approved list of combinations from IIT kharagpur  and subject to the availability of infrastructure and Dates.

gate exam fees structure for category wise per subject paper is as follows:

pwd/ sc/st/ women: 750rs

others  candidates: 1500
