Hello,

Listen it totally dpends on the student itself.

Many students  take placements in different companies by practicing coding or with the help of some extra curricular activities.

Generally the  average package for most of the branches in iit's are 12-14 lakh/yr,but at some IIT's the average package for CS/IT goes till 15 lakh per year.

But if we talk about some other branches, the package decreases to 6-7 lakh as such in metallurgical eng..etc.

You can google these types of info.

Because google will tell you hell lot of info about this.

Thank You!

All the Best!

Regards!

hi!

though Each and every branch in IITs are good thats why they are top colleges in the country and the package wise are also good. You can definitely opt for Metallurgy & Material Science in IIT Madras. If you work hard, it may fetch you a package of more than Rs.10 LPA.

Thank you and best of luck.
