Is Material Science and Engineering Department same as Metallurgical and Material Science Engineering Department in IITs& NITs?

Technically they both are slightly different.
Material Science Engineering focuses on materials like Ceramics, Metals etc. But Metallurgical Science deals with Ores and their beneficiations, washings etc and extracting metals from it.
Rest is same in both.

Yes Santosh it is almost same course in both colleges but in few sem few subjects differ but its not a major difference.
