Yes, as a DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) holder you can set up your own Pathology Lab in India. You will have to get permission and licenses to the concerned authorities. However, DMLT Holders can only evaluate and document the lab reports, they aren't allowed to sign on it. Only a MS.c in Pathology graduate holds the power to sign tests.
