The JSS college of Nursing is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGHUS), Bangalore, and recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, and Karnataka State Nursing Council, Bangalore.

The details for Bachelors of Science in Nursing (basic) in JSS college of nursing is as follows-

Duration:4 years

Eligibility Criteria of Admission-

The candidates seeking admission must:

Have passed Pre-university examination (PUC of 2 years) or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with science subjects, viz., Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

Have obtained at least fifty percent (50%) of the total marks in science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & English in case of General Category and 40% in case of SC/ST.

Have completed 17 years on or before 31st of December of the year of admission.

Be medically fit (should produce a medical fitness certificate from a recognized and licensed Physician).

Admissions Procedure-

All admissions are provisional and subject to final approval by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, Karnataka. Candidates who have studied outside Karnataka, need to obtain an eligibility certificate from RGUHS, Bangalore, prior to admission.

Application Procedure

A form of the application can be obtained from the Principal, JSS College of Nursing, Ramanuja Road, Mysuru 570004, on payment of application fee, which is as shown in the table below.

A candidate interested in applying for the Nursing Programme of JSS College of Nursing is required to fill in and submit the prescribed forms, appended at the end of the prospectus, to JSS College of Nursing. Candidates must obtain and submit the forms as indicated below (based on the programme to which they wish to seek admission).

B. Sc. Nursing (Post Basic): Form B

M. SC. Nursing: Form C

Candidates are also required to enclose the photocopies of certificates as indicated in the application form.

Those candidates who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria are requested not to submit their applications for admission. Candidates who fail to meet any of the prescribed criteria for eligibility will not be considered for admission.
