Bharatiar University is situated in Coimbatore. It is a public university. It is accredited as A grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). It provides under graduate, post graduate and PH.d programs in various subjects.

The university provides 25 master's degree programs in science. The subjects include: physics, mathematics, zoology, chemistry, nano technology, biotechnology, statistics, computer science, electronics and instrumentations, bioinformics, botany etc.

The admissions are made through two different modes: entance exam and direct admission.

Candidated need to apply online, after which a hall tivked will be generated for the entrance exam. The elegibility criteria states that the student must have an aggregrate of 60% in his UG in his respective discipline.The placements at the institute is very satisfying and appreciable. The institute is one of the premium isntitute for pursuing M.Sc.
