Hello Pradnya, general or plain BSc degree can be taken as a full time/part time course in science and forms the basis of a generalised science education with subjects like Maths, physics, chemistry, Botany, zoology etc. this is for someone interested in a career in science education or teaching. you can further move onto specialisations based on your interest.

Nursing is a totally different branch as it deals with healthcare and caregiving. It is a very noble profession and will lead to a career in medicine, hospitals etc as nurse, care givers, general staff etc.

Choose whatever you feel you are more inclined towards as this is where you will be making a career out of.

Hey,

Both Bachelor of Science in any course or specifically nursing is good. They cannot be compared as such. Both have their own perks and entirely depends upon your calling.

See,if you go for B.Sc in any specific course like Physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, biochemistry etcetera,it will give the opportunity to explore the subject in more detailed manner. After that, you can go for either your masters and work as an acamedician or you can choose any other field as well.

If you go for B.Sc in Nursing you can get the chance to serve in both government or private sectors.

Hope this helps you.

Good luck.
