Hey Shilpa , Photonics is a highly developing course and has a great future scope ahead . So , you need not to worry about the job oppurtunities . Although the CUSAT does not provide campus placememts but provide you a degree with which you can easily be placed in highly reputed companies. And CUSAT is one of the few institutions which are providing students with this highly developed course . So , if you have got the chance to get admission there , i would advise you not to miss it.
