Hi, according to me one should opt any branch of there interest during his/her B.Tech program. One should at least know the basics of the branch he/she have decided to opt.

In case of especially CSE branch one must know the basics of Operating System which includes getting in touch with any programming language like HTML or C++ etc. He/She must know how the operating System works and what are the works of each parts and components of the system and what are it's functions etc. Moreover one must also know how to work in Microsoft tools as it is the most basic tool used by everyone even by 4th-5th class child knows somehow to use these tools.

If these kinds or these things creates interest in anyone he/she may go for CSE branch for sure.
