AS Class 10 students are now being introduced by the CBSE to basic math and standard math. Basic math students are not permitted to study mathematics in higher classes, whereas students with standard math are permitted to do so. This is the fundamental distinction between basic math and standard math.

In light of the fact that you are a standard math student and wish to switch to basic math for this reason, you have the option to take either Basic math or Standard math in compartment exams if you failed standard math in the CBSE class 10 board test. You can change from standard to basic math at that time.
