Hi,

First of all it's a good course which helps you to understand how to manage data and get relevant information out of it. HIM basically focuses on collecting data related to symptoms, diagnoses and procedures adopted to treat a patient. Such a large amount of data is used for forecasting purposes and checking health status over time.

There are large number of job opportunities that you can get. Various jobs have been mentioned below:

-Health Information Manager

-Health Information Consultant

-Quality Manager

-Medical Research Analyst

-Medical Coder

-Healthcare data analyst

-Clinical documentation specialist

As far as Government jobs are concerned you can get job opportunities from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and various Government Hospitals. The position can be of Public Health Manager, Consumer safety advisor and that of system administration. There are great possibilities you just need to find them.

Hope the above information will help you!
