It's not like that we can't say that a ca can become CEO or not. It depends upon tha capabilities you have., most importantly it is the top most position of a organization.

He has to analyze the market trends in order to expand the company .

He has to get good management techniques be cause he has to manage the employees, board member etc., most of the people prefer mba in order to get top position.

There is no such thing that only Chartered Accountant (CA) be or A Charated Accountant can't be a CEO. For the person must have this skills of CEO, most important thing is the manegerial skills, as the CEO has to manage the whole organisation, now to attain those manegerial skills people usually opt MBA.
