the eligibility criteria for gate exam is candidates must pass or in final year of graduation in 4 years btech or diploma + 3 years btech or bachelors courses of 4 years or msc of 2 years. you are eligibility to apply for biotechnology stream in gate exam, the eligibility criteria for m.tech in biotechnology is,

candidates must  pass Bachelor’s degree in any one of the following:

Biological/ Chemical sciences OR

Pharmaceutical/ Veterinary/ Medical/ Agricultural sciences OR

Engineering subjects/ Physical sciences with adequate exposure to Chemical/ Biological Sciences.
