Hii!
See, the basic idea being a student in NIOS is that the candidate is free to attend the courses of his/ her choice at his/ her own comfort. And also, he / she doesn't face any complications while getting admission or job anywhere if he / she passed out from NIOS. So, there's no specific role being a regular student or not as both enjoy equal opportunities.
