Can a diploma student pursue B Tech in Cyber Security?

BTech Cyber Security is a 4 years duration undergraduate degree which emphasizes comprehensive knowledge of Cyber Crime, Network Security, Data structures, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Cryptography, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems etc.

To be eligible for BTech Cyber Security, applicants must complete their 10+2 from a recognized board or university with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and secure a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

Admissions to BTech Cyber Security are either merit-based or based on entrance scores. Most institutes accept national level, state level or institute level entrance scores such as JEE Mains, EAMCET, BITSAT etc.

BTech Cyber Security: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must qualify all the eligibility criteria mentioned below to secure admissions in BTech Cyber Security in the college of their choice:

1.Candidates must complete 10+2 or equivalent with Math, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and from a recognized board/university.
2.Candidates must score a minimum aggregate score of 50% in their 12th examinations or equivalent.
3.Candidates with a Diploma in relevant Engineering stream are also eligible to apply for the course.

So, if you have Diploma in relevant Engineering stream then you can persue B.Tech in Cyber Security.

Hello,

Yes, you are eligible to pursue B.Tech Cyber Security after completing Diploma. But you must have passed three year or four year Diploma in Engineering from an institute recognized by AICTE or equivalent board in order to be eligible. If you pass Diploma in Engineering from an institute recognized by AICTE or equivalent board you can get admission to second year B.Tech through lateral entry. The admission to second year B.Tech (lateral entry) will be either done in state level or institute level depending on the institute. In states like Andhra Pradesh and Telangana an entrance examination will be conducted for admission to second year B.Tech (Lateral entry).
