Dear aspirant,
It is not recommended to take a drop between your 11th and 12th because in future it will reflect in your CV/resume. So,if you want to take a drop I would suggest to kindly take a drop after your 12th. Jee doesn't care if you have a gap between your 11th and 12th or not. It only sees in which year you are passing the 12th boards.
There are some eligibility criteria for jee mains:-
1- Candidates can give jee mains consecutively at maximum upto two years after passing their class 12th.
2-Candidates need to pass their 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognised board.
3-There is no age limit to appear in jee mains. The 75% criteria is also relaxed for the current year.
