  • As per the official information the minimum requirement to study MBA you should have at-least AVG 60% of marks ,( atleast 55 % in open category 50% in reserved category )
  • Sorry to inform you that you are not qualified for MBA courses , even your CAT score is really high there is no chance of admission with less than 50% marks in graduation  you can repeat the graduation course or improve your score if option available and try for MBA so that you can get into some reputed colleges so that you get job easily.
  • Still if you want to continue to join some colleges that takes students for MBA even with less marks please go through the website of the colleges to confirm their credibility and value of certificate they provide

while checking I found this site

  • http://www.directadmissionmbacolleges.in/tag/direct-admission-in-mba-colleges-accepting-below-50-graduation

Kindly go through the site of these colleges to ensure the credibility and decide , if to join or not

Hope this information helped you

best wishes for your future

Hello Aspirant,

If you have less than 50% at graduation and belong to the general category, you will not be able to apply for the CAT, SNAP or CMAT

In all these tests the minimum percentage of marks required is 50% in Graduation.

But, still you can apply for the XAT and MAT

Graduates in any stream can apply for the XAT and MAT exams. No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation to appear in these exams.

XAT exam notification will come out in August 2013 and XAT exams will be held in January 2014 wheras MAT exams are held four times in a year.

Good Luck!

Hi anju,
For taking admission in MBA course you have to give entrance exams like CAT, SNAP or CMAT. The minimum eligibility criteria for these exams is 50% aggregate marks in graduation for general category. So you can still take admission in MBA just by cleraing gate exam.

Hello Anju. I will give an honest answer. The colleges which accepts candidates without anyone entrance exams or any other criterion will not help you. The reason being, doing an MBA grooms you, develops you and makes you prepared for the industry. So, going to those colleges which accepts students with low score without any entrance will be a hole in your pocket, and they will not help you with any placement.

I would suggest you to prepare for cat or other management exams, score high and explain the reasons for your low score in graduation during the interview.

All the best.
