Yes you can. The procedure will depend on the college you want to apply to, or the state of education.
For example in Chattisgarh, the admissions for the lateral entry program are based on the percentage scored in diploma and the student has to apply for counselling.

Students from science stream with 45%marks in each subject as minimum is must and also must have taken Physiscs and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from recognised Institute.

Eligibility criteria above is for General category. 

Hence, diploma holders arenot eligible for CGPET for lateral entry
