Can diploma holder take admission in IIT college

Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.

 

The answer to your question is unfortunately, "no". The IITs and the NITs have strict rules as laid down by the Government of India to not accept diploma holders for direct admissions into their B.Tech courses.

 

However, what you can do is: join any college that accepts admission by lateral entry. Then after pursuing your undergraduate studies, you prepare seriously for GATE from your third year itself. In this way, you can join the IITs for your M. Tech course.
