With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that the basic eligibility criteria for candidates to appear in JEE mains exam is that he/she need to qualify class 12th from any recognized board or university.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Main 2022 eligibility criteria along with the official brochure. There are certain conditions and requirements that every JEE Main aspirant has to fulfill in order to get admission.

Further, the eligibility criteria for JEE mains is described as follows :

Qualifying exam -

• Students should have passed the 12th class or qualifying the exam in 2020 or 2021.

• Candidates appearing in 12th class or equivalent qualifying exams in 2022 can also apply.

Age Limit - No age limit to appear for JEE Main 2022 exam. Any student who has passed the 12th class or its equivalent exam in the year 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022 can apply for the entrance exam.

Total number of attempts -

• Students can appear in the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years. The entrance test will be conducted four times a year.

Subjects -

• B.E/B.Tech: He/She should have passed the qualifying exam with Physics, Mathematics, and any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject).

• B.Arch: He/She should have passed the qualifying exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

• B.Plan: He/She should have passed the qualifying exam with Mathematics.

THe eligibility criteria for JEE Mains- 2022 Examination is as following. The whole schedule and notification as of now hasn't been released by NTA, but it is expected to release soon.

• Candidates should have passed class 12th or any other equivalent qualifying examination in 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022.

• The candidates should have qualified in 5 subjects:

- Language

- Mathematics

- Physics

- Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject

- Any other subject

• Candidates are allowed to appear for JEE Main exam for the consecutive three years

------ So if you have passed your Class XII Examination in 2019, then you won't be eligible for JEE Mains Examination
