JEE Main Paper 1 is for admission to B.Tech/B.E. courses while Paper 2 is for admission to B.arch and B.Planning courses. If you have qualified JEE Main Paper 1 then only you can appear for JEE Advanced Examination. The cut-off list which is prepared for JEE Advance only takes into consideration Paper 1 marks. For being able to appear for the AAT exam, which is for B.Arch, you have to qualify for JEE Advanced.
You need to qualify JEE Main Paper 1 to be eligible for JEE Advanced and qualify JEE Advanced to appear for AAT.
