Yes, Sadhna you can switch over branch after clearing GATE exam through Mechanical branch but the problem is that every department of every college does not accept GATe score from other branches. So, before applying for any college for other branches like a computer science branch you need to make sure that Computer science department of that college accepts GATE score of the mechanical branch.
