can i apply for PhD English just after completing my masters?

UGC has made entrance compulsory for PhD, so you have to either clear NET or PhD entrance exam conducted by various, after clearing entrance you have appear for interview and presentation

To get admission in Govt colleges then you will have to go through the CBSE UGCNET exam and for the private colleges in which you are interested you can go through the admission criteria provided on their website.
