If you want to change your branch in same desired college then you can just freeze the seat and can go for spot counselling in the other branch but most counsellors prohibit to do so.According to some college having rules like the student can do upgradation in a different "college" and sometimes it such that you cannot upgrade within a college itself.Hope the answer helps you.
