On completion of the General Purpose Rating course, you will have two options- Deck Side or Engine Side. If you choose deck Side, you can become Captain through exams. If you choose engine side, you 'll hage option to become chief engineer. After 36 months of sea service, you can appear for 2nd Mate Examination and rise to Officer. By furthur services and examinations, you can get rank promotions.
