Hello Aspirant!

The resident address that you mention during NEET form fill-up, has nothing to do with deciding your domicile. In order to apply for the 85% state counselling of a particular state, you need to register yourself in the official website of the body that will conduct the counselling and produce the required documents ( including the domicile certifictate) during verification of yoir eligibility.

It mean it doesn't affect whether what address I have filled in neet form

No, the address you fill in NEET form doesn't decide your domicile. Your domicile is only decided by the criteria, listed down by the concerned state, for obtaining a certificate. Once you are able to reproduce that domicile certifictate and other documents during verification process, you are eligible for applying under 85% quota of that state. However keep in mind that you can apply for the state quota of only one state. Multiple state quota applications can lead to cancellation of candidature.

The documents you require will be liated on the official website of the counselling conducting body of the state. So keep checking it regularly.
Generally, Aadhar card, voter id card etc are required as address proof.

Yes you have to change the address. And it doesn't take too long actually. Even if you dont receive the card by post, you can use a PVC card instead.
Actually domicile certifictates are of different types. One type is such that you can obtain using your name. Another type is such that you use your parents name. Now it depends on the states, whether they accept the second type or not. If they accept it, then documents you reproduce are of the domicile holder.
Keep checking the official website carefully. All details will be released soon within a week or two.

Sir, I am domicile of Jammu & kashmir & i have mistakenly marked that i am not domiciled in Jammu & kashmir, while filling up neet form. now the correction window has been closed. Sir, plz guide me that can this mistake make me Un-eligible for my state kota.
