If you want to pursue a career in Engineering and want to get a seat in a decent government or private institution of Engineering then your JEE-Mains marks would highly matter and affect. Try to get a rank within 10k in JEE-Mains so that you will get a seat in your state's NIT . Remember that JEE - Mains is far easier than GATE and ESE. JEE is highly a matter of importance if you want to get into IIT's and NIT's. Otherwise to get into your local colleges or private institution you don't have to worry much. Good Luck!

Yes, you can for sure get admission in top colleges in Adhra Pradesh through your JEE mains marks provided that  your marks and rank should satisfy a minimum criteria according to the university. There are colleges in Andhra Pradesh which do consider MAINS marks,like G Pulla Reddy and many other engineering colleges.Hope this helps.
