Dear aspirant,

Yes, you can get a lateral entry into second year ( Bachelor of Technology) if you are a diploma holder from any All India council of technical education affiliated  IT college. You can apply directly for a lateral entry in most of the private institutes by submitting your diploma certificate ( minimum 40 percent marks is required). However lateral entry is not allowed Nit's and IIT's.
