Admission to BTech in India is done through national entrance exams (JEE Mains, JEE Advanced), regional (WBJEE, KEAM etc.) or university / institutional level (IISER Aptitude Test, BITSAT etc.). Captured universities conduct self-administrative tests for qualifying students. Every year, the tests are performed in April and May, but this year they are delayed in July and August due to the epidemic.
