Hu aspirant, since you are in B.Sc first year and you are interested in engineering as well so let me tell you that for taking an admission into an engineering college you need to appear in JEE exams or other state entrance exam.

If you ware asking to take admission after 1st year of B.Sc then let me clear you that if you take admission in any engineering college than there also you have to appear in first year again which will waste your one year.

Only diploma holders are allowed for lateral entry in the engineering colleges.

Yes, if you have prepared well  for JEE MAIN in that one year with your B.Sc studies.. then you are eligible  for appearing in JEE MAIN or other engineering exams. But, Make sure .. you should fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to get admission in any specific B.Tech colleges .   While studying B.Sc , you are eligible for that time to appear for JEE MAIN for next year also.
