Hi,
The admission to nits are taken through jee main merit base. But there is a 10+2 eligibility criteria according to which a general category candidate should possess minimum 75% of marks and for sc/st category candidate 65% in class12 or should be among the top 20 percentile of his board.
So if you have the required percentage or percentile in the board exam you can apply for admission to nits.

2. In top 20 percentile of your board as per your category.
If you clear these criteria then you can take admissions in NITs as per your jee mains score.
