Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam University of Technology (AKTU) conducts its own entrance examinations for admission to various courses. So, you need to appear for U.P State Entrance Examination in order to qualify for the same.

Yes, you can secure admission in Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (AKTU), formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU); through JEE Main but the counselling dates for the candidates through JEE Main would be different from those through UPSEE rank holders. If you give UPSEE, you can also get admission in government colleges in Uttar Pradesh but through JEE Main, you will get admission only in private colleges.
