To be in the safe zone, a minimum score of 450 or above would be required for the obc category. With this score, you have chances at private colleges, but that depends entirely on your state. If you belong to states like TamilNadu or Rajasthan, even private colleges are not possible. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats and state quotas, by which nothing can be predicted for sure.
