Dear Rajendar,

There is lot of difference between percentage and percentile. With your percentage given as 80%, you will be able to secure a seat in top engineering colleges if you belong to BC category. But if your percentile is 80, then it will be difficult for you to secure a seat in one of the top engineering colleges.
