Ohhh your OBC rank is 24K so your general rank will be some around 70K to 1 lakh... which is not not quite good to get admission in top branches of hbtu previous year cut off was higher than expected probably because of very late counselling and the students gets settled in various nits and other private engineering colleges since from previous year, rule of universities gets applied in hbtu and from previous year only it started taking admission through jee main .last year general rank of 38000 of obc category got admission in IT branch.

but might be form this year cut off would be high because awareness of getting by jee mains has spread among students and this year probably counselling will not be late as previous year so more students may apply for counselling . which may reduce your chances of getting this unversity . but you may apply for counselling because no one knows what happens in future so best of luck for you...
