ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates applying through different channels will have to meet the prescribed eligibility criteria of IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech 2019, must meet JEE MAIN ELIGIBILITY criteria.

There are 5 modes of undergraduate admission mainly through JEE Main score.

• JEE Main Score: Minimum requirement for admission through JEE Main score requires the candidate to obtain a minimum of 60% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry in 10+2. Students will be selected on the basis of total marks of JEE Main. In case of a tie, the first tiebreaker will be marks in Mathematics, second will be marks in Physics and third will be marks in Chemistry.
• UGEE: Admission will be based on performance in the entrance examination and interview, both conducted by IIIT-H. There are different eligibility criteria for B. Tech in CS and MS in CL by Research (CLD) and B. Tech in CS and MS in CNS (CND) program.
• Olympiad: To be eligible, Students have to be selected for training in Informatics, Science, Mathematics and Linguistics to represent India in the International Olympiads during class XI and XII. Following Olympiad are accepted, International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), Science Olympiad (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Astronomy), Mathematics Olympiad
• Direct Admission for Students Abroad (DASA): To be eligible for admission on IIIT-H, the candidate should have studied XI and XII, or equivalent, outside India. In addition to this, both SAT and SAT subject test scores in maths, physics, and chemistry are mandatory for application; the essay part of SAT is not required.
• Lateral Entry to Dual Degree Research Programs in CSD/ECD:  Admission is based on performance in entrance test and interview. To be eligible for
  • CSD: Applicants must complete their II year of B.E./ B.Tech in CSE / IT by July.

• SCHOLARSHIP

Pratibha scholarship: The State Government offers this merit-cum-means scholarship. Students must be from Andhra Pradesh to avail of this scholarship. The annual family income should be within one lakh.

B. IIIT-H special financial assistance scheme (ISFAS): This scholarship is meant for those who might not be able to pursue higher education due to financial constraints. The students receive scholarship amount as a loan which is to be paid later. This is provided for the first semester, however, if required, the assistance can be provided for the entire duration of four years.
