Hello Aspirant,

See merely qualifying JEE-Advance does not ensure your admission in IITs. Qualifying JEE-Advance simply means that you can sit for counselling of IITs and you are eligible for admission to IITs. Now the seats are allotted through JOSAA counselling on the basis of rank secured in JEE-Advance.

Let us take an example to make you more clear, last year for IIT Bombay the closing rank was 5976 for B.Sc in Chemistry and for 5976 rank one has to score much more marks then just qualifying marks.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

No

Qualifying JEE advanced means that you will a get a rank in common rank list.

If you qualify JEE Advanced, then you will be eligible for taking part in counseling organized for admission into IITs.

It does not necessarily ensure that you will surely get a seat in the IITs just by qualifying the exam .

Good luck for your upcoming exams !

Hope this helps !
