Hi,

With a NEET score of 366 and belonging to the OBC category in Telangana, getting a government MBBS seat would be quite difficult, as the cut-off for OBC in Telangana usually goes above 430–450. However, you still have chances in private medical colleges under the B-category or management quota. Another option is to explore deemed universities or apply under All India Counselling where cut-offs may vary. If MBBS is your only goal, consider reappearing for NEET next year with stronger preparation. Otherwise, BDS, BAMS, or BPT are good alternatives that can still lead to successful careers in healthcare.

Thank you!

Having 366 in NEET 2025 and being in OBC category in Telangana, the chance of securing an MBBS seat in government medical college under state quota will be very low, as OBC generally starts from 450 -480+ marks for government seats in Telangana.

But there are other opportunities in:

OBC/ Management OBC /Management quota medical College

Deemed universities, where the fees are little higher side.

Out of the country MBBS (in case you can afford it), a most other students of similar grade to the same thing.

The last opportunities rest on the cutoff trends, seat availability, and category rank, As long as you're willing to go outside the box, such as MBBS in govt colleges, you can have a way

Hey Harsha:)

Thanks for reaching out!

With 366 marks in NEET,under OBC category from Telengana, you're eligible for councelling but unlikely to get a government MBBBS seat ,as OBC cutoffs for state quota government colleges are usually much higher. However, you may have a chance in private colleges through the B-category quota especially in newer or lesser competitive colleges where cut-offs ranges closer to your score .Keep track of official councelling updates and explore colleges with lower cutoffs.
