The cut off varies as per category and programs offered. The allotment of BTech seats in NITs will be purely based on JEE Main cut off. During JoSSA Counselling each NIT releases its cut off in the form of Opening and Closing Ranks after each round.

In case you want to have more  clarity you can compare your score with the previous year cut-offs for your category.for previous years cut-off , heres a link

Yeah if your score is 118 marks then it is good but now the competition is increasing year to year so as I am suggesting you that please write the JEE mains April session as well if the score is increased means you will get good score
According to your marks of 118 you will get NIT
